According to a founder member, the Players Amateur Dramatic Company began with an entertainment at Christmas 1948, commissioned and directed by the Vicar at the time, Revd Samuel Manning.

The list of our productions shows all those from Spring of 1949 to 2003.

We try to provide a variety of entertainment and our vision is to present plays and productions which give the cast and members pleasure, a challenging experience, a welcome hobby, friends and fun in supportive surroundings.

Our group is unfussy and welcomes everyone who has a desire to be on or around the stage and to be part of a local community.

All we ask is committment and a willingness to take the lead or help with the sweeping up. All the roles are equally demanding.
