Chiswick Dining Club
Guidance for Members Organizing a Meeting
The Chiswick Dining Club is meant to be fun and a way to socialise with others
in Chiswick. Here's some guidance for the person organizing an event to make the task easy
1. The aim of CDC is to visit all Chiswick's restaurants (excluding large chains). The challenge is to
find new independent venues each time!
2.The dinners are arranged approximately once a month, if possible on a different day each time.
3. Please e-mail members with the date of the next meeting ASAP, so that
members can schedule it in their diaries. Members of the Club who are also members of the Chiswick Wine Society would be grateful if you could avoid a date which clashes with the meetings of the CWS (CWS Calendar). The venue and details of the event should be sent to
members at least a week or so before the event.
Please put up on the ChiswickW4 site (http://www.chiswickw4.com/) a message announcing the event.
Instructions for putting up the message
4. In order to make these evenings economic and fair, please try to arrange a fixed price menu with approx half bottle of wine per person and service included. Most restaurants will agree to do this.
Please tell the restaurant that, after the fixed consumption has been passed, it is up to the restaurant to get paid by individuals who orders more.
5. Please include in the e-mail giving details of the event, the following text:
"The price for the meal, including 1/2 bottle of wine and service is £**.
Members who order items not included in the fixed price menu, such as additional bottles of wine, must pay for these items themselves.
Please pay your bill, by card or cash, to the restaurant, not the organizer."
7. Please e-mail any additions or alterations to the mailing list to
Mike Bernal
8. Please note that the Club's mailing list is only to be used for organizing the dinners.
